The Grove Redevelopment Project Area Proposed Tax Increment Financing Interested Parties Registry

Pursuant to the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act, the Village of Sugar Grove has established an interested parties registry for the proposed redevelopment project area known as The Grove. The Village previously adopted an Ordinance establishing interested parties registries and registration rules for tax increment financing redevelopment project areas.

The Grove is approximately 792 acres of land located in an area near the I-88 and Rte. 47 Interchange north of Seavey Road and then extending south to include properties north of Wheatfield Avenue and east of Rte. 47. Click here for a map of the project area.

Individuals and any organization active within the Village are entitled to register to become an “Interested Party” for the proposed project area. Organizations include, but are not limited to, businesses, business organizations, civic groups, not-for-profit corporations, and community organizations within the Village or the proposed project area. The registry will include the name, address, and telephone number of each Interested Person and, for organizations, the name and phone number of a designated contact person.

Individuals and organizations wanting to register as an Interested Party must complete and submit an Interested Parties Registration Form with the Village Clerk.  Registered parties will be entitled to receive notices of public meetings, public hearings, and the availability of redevelopment plans and eligibility reports. The Registry will include the name, address, and telephone number of each Interested Person and, for organizations, the name and phone number of a designated contact person.

Registration forms may be obtained online and in person at Village Hall. Forms may be submitted via email at vclerk@sugargroveil.gov, in person or by mail at the following:

To ensure that there is an adequate water supply for drinking, bathing, and fire protection this summer, all residents are encouraged to comply with the Village’s water conservation ordinance. Water conservation measures are an important first step in protecting our water supply. All properties connected to the Village Water System must adhere to the following water restrictions: Even-numbered street addresses may water on even-numbered calendar dates between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Odd-numbered street addresses may water on odd-numbered calendar dates between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Automatic watering of trees and shrubs by means of root feeders within the drip line of the tree or shrub follow the even/odd restrictions stated above. There are no restrictions when watering with a hand held device. The planting of sod or grass seed is prohibited during the months of July and August unless you use a water source other than the Village Water System. Outside of the restricted summer months, property owners or residents who want to continuously water a newly seeded or sodded lawn must obtain a permit at the Public Works Department, located at 601 Heartland Drive, 630-391-7230. There is no fee for this permit; however, violators will be subject to fines. There are no restrictions when filling swimming pools that are fifty (50) gallons or less. All properties with swimming pools more than fifty (50) gallons must follow the even/odd watering restrictions during permitted hours of use. Please contact the Public Works Department at 630-391-7230 or pwadmin@sugargroveil.gov with any questions or concerns.
