Police Pension Fund

The Sugar Grove Police Department Sworn members pension fund is regulated by Illinois State Statutes. The Sugar Grove Police Department is classified as a Downstate Police Pension Fund System. You can find out more about the Downstate Police Pension by clicking here.


The Police Pension fund is comprised of five members:
Two elected from the current sworn members, one from the retired members, and two appointed by the Village President. All serve for two year terms at various intervals.


The Pension Board Meets at a minimum of four times per calendar year. (January, April, July and October)

Public Police Pension Board Meeting Dates for 2025 are:

  • Friday, January 17, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. in the Village Board Room
  • Friday, April 18, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. in the Village Board Room
  • Friday, July 18, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. in the Village Board Room
  • Friday, October 17, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. in the Village Board Room
