Recyclables

  • Household batteries (dry cell watch, hearing aid, clock, AAA, AA, D and 9-volt lantern batteries (in a clear plastic sandwich bags and deposited next to curbside recycling bin) excluding wet cell computer, boat snowmobile, motorcycle, car and truck batteries). Mixed paper includes: white paper, colored paper, computer paper, magazines, junk mail, cereal & cracker boxes (remove liner), thin catalogs, paper grocery bags, newspapers & inserts.
  • Cardboard must be flattened and cut down to pieces no larger than 2’X2′. Place under your bin.
  • Paper cartons such as milk or orange juice and juice boxes should not be placed with mixed paper. Place these items in with mixed recyclables & containers.
  • Pet food bags or any bag with a moisture liner are not recyclable.
  • Soiled paper or cardboard – pizza box, Kleenex, paper plates, etc. are not recyclable.
  • Clear, green or brown glass (no pyrex or window glass) Tin cans (labels may be left on)
  • Aluminum cans, foil and pie tins.
  • 6 or 12 pack beverage rings.
  • Gable-top containers (milk, juice and drink boxes)
  • Plastic containers with one of the following codes:
  • 1,2,3,4,5,7 only Unacceptable items: Plastic that has held motor oil or antifreeze, Plastic bags, Styrofoam of any kind (including packing peanuts).
