Term of Office:  May 2021 to May 2025

Family:  I have been married for greater than 17 years to Niki, a public school special education teacher, and am parents to 2 amazing boys, Jaden and Lucas. My wife and I are both part-time “singer-songwriters” having recorded in various studios, and performed at countless venues, throughout our adult lives, sharing our original music, and playing various instruments as the opportunities arise.

Education:  I am a Software Engineering Manager for the agricultural industry and earned my Masters degree in Industrial Technology & Operations Management, graduating with honors, from the Illinois Institute of Technology. I previously earned Bachelors degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics & Mathematics from the Illinois Institute of Technology and North Central College in Naperville respectively.

Work Experience: Driving massive business turnarounds during down economies of greater than 500 and 600% respectively, personally hiring more than 120 direct employees during my 15-17 years of executive leadership, saving my employers countless millions in operational and structural costs, standing up new global development centers, driving contract accountability with our partners, and project management initiatives in the tens-of millions of dollars more than once during my career.

Years as a resident:  I have been a resident of Sugar Grove for 16 years.

Activities: My family has been active members of our local church where we share our musical talents volunteering for the Worship Team personally as a vocalist, guitarist and bass player, in addition to assisting with the Children’s Choir. I have volunteered for The Ronald McDonald House and for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on several occasions as well as many other organizations not mentioned here.

Public Experience:  In addition to my volunteer experience, I have faithfully served as a Trustee of the Sugar Grove Police Pension Board since 2015.

Why I ran for the office of Village Trustee: As a long time active voter, this is my first venture into elected office, though there is nothing within the responsibilities of a Village Trustee that I have not seen with my experiences to date in the private sector. As a Sugar Grove Trustee, I would drive toward fiscal responsibility by bringing analytics, logic, and a mathematical mind to the Board, softened by my love of music, community involvement, and experience as a parent with kids attending our public schools.
