The Village of Sugar Grove has entered into an agreement with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) for the purpose of preparing a new, updated Comprehensive Plan. The current Comprehensive Land Use Plan was originally approved in 2005 with amendments in 2014 and 2018. This effort will result in updated long-range recommendations for future growth and development, as well as the maintenance and enhancement of the character of the community.
One important component of the Comprehensive Plan process is the input of a community steering committee. The committee will be made up of a diverse mix of key community stakeholders including residents and businesses. It will provide valuable guidance and input throughout the planning process including engaging local stakeholders. The four phase process will run approximately 18 months, during which the committee is scheduled to meet four times to oversee the consultants work.
If you would like to serve on the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, please submit a letter of interest highlighting why you are interested in serving on the committee and the value that you will bring to the effort. Letters should be submitted as soon as possible for consideration to email@example.com or mail to:
Assistant to the Village Manager

Letters may also be submitted at Village Hall during business hours or dropped in the Utility Bill after-hours drop box to the attention of Alison Murphy.
