Over the past several weeks, the Village of Sugar Grove has continued to monitor the coronavirus situation and review Village emergency plans and procedures to protect the safety and security of our residents and employees.
Effective today, we are taking extraordinary precautions so that the Village can carry on daily business throughout the entire pandemic, to all residents. Out of an abundance of caution for the health of our community, the Village of Sugar Grove has moved to limit exposure to employees and residents by limiting public access to Village facilities.
At both Village Hall and the Public Works facility, residents and customers are still able to conduct Village business over the phone or through electronic means, however, interior doors have been locked and phones have been placed inside vestibules to allow customers to call for assistance.
The Village is also taking other precautions to help reduce the exposure to our employees, and potentially our residents, to ensure the continuation of services across departments.
These precautionary measures are not due to any known exposure to COVID-19 at our facilities; they are being implemented to eliminate unnecessary risk to the public and staff.
Please be assured that our Police Department will remain staffed and ready to protect the community. Residents should not hesitate to call 911 if there is an emergency.
The Village will continue to provide links to websites that provide the latest information on how to protect yourself and family from this pandemic at www.sugargroveil.gov.
The Village of Sugar Grove is not taking this situation lightly, as seen by our recent changes, and we are here to serve our residents no matter what transpires.
