The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on businesses across the nation. During this challenging time, the Sugar Grove Economic Development Corporation (EDC) wants to make sure local businesses have the most up-to-date information regarding resources available for assistance and recovery. The EDC has created a website, https://sugargroveedc.org/covid-19/, to provide local businesses with information on new federal programs designed for small business assistance including Paycheck Protection Program, Economic Injury Disaster Loan Advance, and Small Business Administration Express Bridge Loans and Debt Relief. The website also provides information on grants and loans from the State of Illinois.
Another resource available to Sugar Grove businesses is the Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Waubonsee Community College. The SBDC offers businesses assistance with federal and state grant and loan applications and can help with business recovery plans. SBDC services are available to all for-profit businesses free of charge. For the latest information from SBDC, visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/waubonsee.sbdc/. For additional information and assistance, contact SBDC Director Harriet Parker at firstname.lastname@example.org or (630) 906-4143.
