Deputy Village Clerk – Part-Time – Sugar Grove, IL
12-15 Hours per Week. Under the direction of the Village Administrator and Village Clerk, this position will serve as custodian of official Village records and public documents including cataloging and filing all Village records. Prepare and distribute agendas, materials, minutes and records of meetings. Administer the issuance of municipal licenses, including liquor, amusement, and tobacco. Provide public records and information to citizens, civic groups, the media and other agencies as requested. Other duties as assigned.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, to establish successful working relationships and to work well under pressure. Must possess great customer service skills. A great opportunity for a self-motivated person to create their role and prove their value.
Minimum of a graduation from high school or GED equivalent with experience in general office practices such as word processing, basic accounting, data processing and two (2) years previous related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must be bondable, have a valid Driver’s License and ability to be a notary.
Hourly rate is $16.55 to $17.67 DOQ. Pro-rated sick time.
