Due to concerns over COVID-19, our permit process has been changed. We encourage you to submit permit applications, surveys, plans and other supporting documents via email. If you prefer to submit a hard paper copy, including permit payments, it will be accepted in our vestibule area. It can be submitted at the Public Works Facility building, 601 Heartland Drive, Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
When your permit review is complete, you will be sent the permit terms and conditions for agreement via e-mail. Once a statement of agreement is received, payment can be made over the phone or thru our website with a debit or credit card (After July 1, 2020 a 3% transaction fee will apply). Check or cash is also accepted. Upon payment, the permit will be emailed to you.
To insure the timely processing of your permit please be sure to review all permit specific requirements through the links below prior to applying for a permit to insure that all information is complete. All contractors performing work in the Village must be registered prior to permit issuance.
Inspections can be scheduled over the phone or via e-mail. Please include the type of inspection, address, date desired and AM or PM, also your name and phone number. All Inspections will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.
The building permit application short form can be used for all permits except a new building (commercial or residential). Please use the application new building for new buildings or large projects with many subcontractors.
