UPDATE – DC Recycling Systems plans to resume e-Waste collection in June. Their e-Waste web portal has reopened and is now accepting requests for the June collection. To schedule a pick-up, visit https://www.lrsrecycles.com/ewaste/.
DC Recycling Systems continues to take every measure and precaution to ensure the safety of their drivers and the communities they service by limiting exposure to COVID-19. They remain focused on servicing residential customers as normal, at the same high standards expected. As the COVID-19 situation continues, DC Recycling Systems is taking additional measures to balance quality service and safety.
Residents working from home and taking on added projects and children being homeschooled has resulted in 10% to 30% more materials at the curb. Due to the significant increase of waste, recycling, and yard waste, drivers are making more trips to disposal facilities, which limits the amount of time to complete the daily routes. In response to this, DC Recycling is fortifying residential routes with extra drivers and support.
- Residents may experience earlier or later pick up times than they are accustomed to, therefore, materials must be placed at the curb before 5:30 a.m. to ensure collection.
The suspension of bulk items and appliances will continue for safety reasons. Do not place these items at the curb as they will not be accepted. Please note, all items will be collected when full service resumes.
Daily call volume to customer service is currently double the normal amount of calls received due to service changes, questions and special requests.
- Residents calling customer service will likely experience a longer hold time.
- Residents are encouraged to send an email to: Service@LRSrecycles.com with their name, address, phone number, and reason for inquiry.
DC Recycling Systems remains committed to providing excellent service to their communities. Your patience and understanding during this time are very much appreciated.
