Job Opening – Accounting Manager

The Village of Sugar Grove is currently accepting resumes for the position of Accounting Manager.

Accounting Manager – Full Time – Sugar Grove, IL

40 Hours per Week. IMRF Eligible. Under the direction of the Finance Director, this position will manage the financial software, assist the Finance Director in day-to-day operations, and serve as a supervisor to two part-time finance clerks. Complete bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, manage developer escrows and miscellaneous receivables.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, dealing with the public in regards to utility services, as well as general administrative assistance to the Finance Director and other clerical support to other staff as needed.

Must have the ability to work independently with great customer service skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word. A great opportunity for a self-motivated person to create their role and prove their value.

Minimum of a graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field; two years of progressively responsible accounting work are required. Experience with BS&A Financial Software preferred. Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to be a notary.

Salary range is $63,029 – $73,656 annually DOQ. Full benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, IMRF, and paid vacation, sick and personal time.
