Recreational Purposes: Recreational camp fires of less than three feet (3′) in diameter burning untreated wood only, within a contained area, is allowed between 10:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M. Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 A.M. through 1:00 A.M. on Friday and Saturday.
Festive and/or ceremonial burnings in excess of three feet (3′) in diameter with a permit issued by the Village. The Village Administrator or his/her designee shall review the permit request and may approve a permit with certain conditions or deny the request on the grounds of public safety when appropriate. Permitted burning hours shall be between the hours of 10:0 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 A.M. through 1:00 A.M. on Friday and Saturday. Open fires used for cooking food at public or private gatherings, provided that such fires are exclusively for said purposes between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M. Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 A.M. through 1:00 A.M. on Friday and Saturday.
E. Landscape Debris: Leaves, diseased trees, and tree debris only may be burned on the premises on which they are generated, provided the burning takes place between ten o’clock (10:00) A.M. and six o’clock (6:00) P.M., with the wind velocity being less than ten (10) miles per hour. Burning leaves and debris must be completely extinguished after six o’clock (6:00) P.M., or if not attended as per Section 4-6-5 of this Chapter.
