Work experience: Accountant at a manufacturing company for 9 years. Responsible for all areas in the department, concentrating on accounts payable and production statistics. 6 years experience at a local excavation firm and was responsible for various accounting, billing and cash receipts procedures. Public Experience: Served as a volunteer on the parks committee for approximately 6 years.
Activities: Numerous volunteer activities throughout the years in the community. Most notably the Sugar Grove Corn Boil. Was active in Sugar Grove Jaycees, Sugar Grove Lions and Friends of the Sugar Grove Library. Help with KESA activities at Kaneland School. I also enjoy reading and volunteered to head a junior discussion group at the library for kids. Enjoy a variety of crafts.
Why I became a trustee: At the time I had attended all board meetings working for the newspaper. Usually I was the only person, besides the board, at the meetings. I felt that I really knew what was going on and wanted to be more involved. Everyone else expressed the same comments to me. They felt I was highly qualified and committed to the task. I love being a trustee and feel that through my dedication to the position, I can help to chart the course that Sugar Grove takes in the future. I have two children and want them to know how important it is to belong to a community and how important it is to give back to your community. I want only the best for Sugar Grove now and future and feel that I have the dedication necessary to help achieve greatness for our town.
