The Village of Sugar Grove is currently accepting resumes for the following position(s):

Utility Billing Clerk – Part Time – Sugar Grove, IL

20-25 Hours per Week. IMRF Eligible. Under the direction of the Finance Director, this position will perform routine clerical, administrative and data processing work in the billing of utility and other public services. Complete all aspects of the utility billing process from billings, resident questions, and general ledger reconciliation.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, explaining Village ordinances relating to utility services to general public, general administrative assistance to the Finance Director and other clerical support to other staff as needed.

Must have the ability to work independently with great customer service skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word. A great opportunity for a self-motivated person to create their role and prove their value.

Minimum of a graduation from high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, accounting, data processing and two (2) years previous related municipal government experience required. Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to be a notary.

Hourly rate is $15.74 – $17.61. Pro-rated sick time. IMRF eligible.
