As the leaves start to fall this autumn, the Village of Sugar Grove would like to remind residents of proper yard waste disposal.
DC Recycling Systems, the Village of Sugar Grove’s refuse provider, provides weekly yard waste service from April 1st through the last refuse pickup in November. Yard waste includes grass and shrubbery clippings, leaves, small tree limbs and branches. All yard waste must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or in a rigid container no larger than 32 gallons, clearly marked “Yard Waste.”
Brush and branches must be in bundles no longer than 4 feet and tied with biodegradable string or twine; no wire.
Do not blow leaves into the streets as doing so creates dangerous situations and can cause flooding.
The final week for yard waste collection for 2018 is November 26-30.
