Sharps Disposal Information

NEVER PLACE LOOSE NEEDLES AND SYRINGES IN THE TRASH!

Place sharps (needles) in either a sharps container or placed inside an empty detergent bottle.  Do not use a glass container.

Clearly label container “Do Not Recycle.”

Put sharps in point-first. Containers more than half-full should be disposed of. Store sharps in closed container with the cap screwed on.

If using a detergent bottle the lid must be tightly sealed with tape and the container clearly labeled “SHARPS”. The container or bottle can then be placed at the top of your trash container for collection with your regular refuse.
